Phaith has a strong body of work as a marketing expert in professional sports, entertainment, media and business. Her professional career includes Marketing Director for a regional food distributor, Manager of Marketing and Graphics for the New Orleans Pelicans G-League affiliate the Birmingham Squadron and Marketing Manger for a cluster of radio stations in Huntsville, Alabama that included Country, Urban AC, News/Talk, Sports and Contemporary Hit Radio music formats. Phaith’s expertise in branding and marketing made her indispensable to the teams she has worked with.
Phaith’s ties to Alabama run deep. She worked in radio professionally for many years and built up an impressive personal brand as both a radio personality and an international DJ, known as DJ Chocolate. During her high school years, Phaith was part of the Pell City High School state basketball championship team and in college at the University of Montevallo, she competed in the Final Four.
She has two business ventures – Eventful Media Group, Inc., a support-based agency focused on connecting clients with their audience through strategic marketing campaigns, engaging content, public relations, and event planning, and Grown and Greek, ® a mission-driven brand that strives to connect like-minded people worldwide through fashion products that celebrate Black Greek Letter lifestyles and set trends for their expression. Both brands are engaged in amazing community service opportunities.
Phaith is proud to sit on the board of the ZeroZero Foundation whose vision is to create an equitable playing field for all through the transcendent world of sports. Her passion for giving back and helping impactful causes reflects her diverse background and unique experiences. To add to this impressive list of accomplishments, she even worked abroad teaching English as a second language in South Korea!
Phaith’s talents don’t end there; she is also a talented artist who draws, paints, performs in theatrical productions locally, and even spent three years traveling the country with a national theater company. However, none of her vast experience brings her as much joy as nurturing her family and building strong relationships. When she isn’t busy making waves professionally, she enjoys watching sports, relaxing to a good book, watching movies, and just hanging out with good people!
A note from Phaith
Spending years in radio and now professional sports has given me an insight to how fast paced businesses function but most importantly how they should tell “their” story. What I do as a strategic marketing professional is rewarding because I get to play multiple positions. From planning to creation to marketing to the world nothing is more important than the brand and to be able to stay connected throughout the entire process is how I make sure we make the clutch shot! My vision for EMG, Inc. was simple. How do we help our clients, that range from music festivals to small businesses to large entities with dedicated teams tell an authentic story.
